Dispatch Technician at Element Materials Technology

Responsibilities

• Schedule pickups and deliveries 
• Pack and dispatch sample containers following set procedures
• Accurately log samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) as quickly and efficiently as possible as per the chain of custody (CoC)
• Preparation of subcontracted samples for analysis and send-outs
• Maintaining stock levels and re-ordering with Management
• Working closely with Project and Office Management
• Proactively address any issues or concerns from clients regarding sample containers being sent to clients e.g., timelines, couriers, stock levels
• Monitor and maintain prepared sampling containers  
• Retrieval, Storage and Disposal duties to maintain the flow within the department
• Compliance with the company Quality, Health and Safety procedures at all time
• Working hours:  8:00 till 17:00 - 40 hours with an hour lunch
• Own transportation

Skills / Qualifications

• Experience in dispatch or logistics preferred
• Good level of English and Maths required
• Education level: Grade 10 - 12 Matric
• Highly motivated and organised individual
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team and adhere to deadlines
