Ensuring alignment of existing drawings in the system to all plant and equipment on site inclusive of PID's, general layout, design, electrical, instrumentation and any other drawings required.
Maintenance of the existing CAD drawing system and architecture.
Maintaining and updating the drawing register, drawing numbering system, revisions, and transmittals.
Ensure that drawing offices practices are adhered to by maintaining and ensuring compliance to standards and regulations whenever changes are made.
Capturing all OEM drawings based on the installation of new equipment on site. Custodian of Drawings for purchasing of service & maintenance items.
Recording and maintaining municipal approval for alterations etc.
Consultation with other services providers and consultants in relation to approved drawings for construction.
Printing and plotting of various documents.
To liaise with production and engineering personnel on suitable designs and equipment to ensure acceptance of design and the successful implementation of the project on an agreed time frame.
To liaise with contractors on site visits to finalize drawing and associated scope requirements.
Project execution schedule compliance to the plan based on SAP notifications.
Compliance to the Rand Refinery drawing office standard and procedures.
Releasing of drawings for construction only upon approval by customer and Engineer only.
Cost management - allocation of costs for time spend on drawings as requested by customers as per schedule.
SHEQ management by ensuring that equipment, machinery, people and products are protected from risk and harm.
Identify hazards promptly and to act.
Adhering to all legislative requirements.
Ensures that all health and safety rules are met and acts actively by addressing any safety concerns which may be harmful to self or other employees.
Conducts risk assessments for ail solutions that are provided to ensure that standards are maintained, and risk is minimised for staff, equipment, product, and the company.
Provides information and participates in formal SHEQ audits.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A completed Matric qualification.
Preference will be given to candidates with a National Diploma in Engineering/ Draughting, coupled with a Project Management qualification.
Must have acquired at least 5 years’ of practical draughting experience on the 2D and 3D AutoCAD packages (inclusive of Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, instruments, site plans, service layouts, etc.).
Must have 5 years’ of experience in an Engineering related supervisory role – preference will be given to candidates who have been exposed to project execution within this role.
