Draughtsman/Estimator - Durban at Stratogo

Role Summary:

• Will be required to provide knowledge of cost and benefits that support profitable business decisions. Candidate will be responsible for deciding the projected time frame needed to complete a project and additional factors such as labour needs, materials, budgets etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Matric
• Relevant Draughtsman Qualifications
• Steel and Aluminium experience is essential
• CAD

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate drawings for the workshop
• Completer accurate bill of materials for all jobs
• Supervise, plan, control and co-ordinate functions of drawing office
• Timeous release of job cards, programs and drawing packs
• Ensure plans and drawings as well as job cards are of optimum quality and accuracy
• Communication with customers and site visits are necessary
• Data storage and management
• Design reviews
• Analysing documents and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project.
• Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product.
• Preparing material and cost estimates.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with clientele.
• Compiling and recording actual costs.
• Understanding the project/program and its requirements.
