    Dry Flow lead

    Opportunity

    The purpose of this position is ensuring that the global supply and demand strategy for empty equipment is executed – whilst guaranteeing African Ocean Customer Logistics (OCL) clients have the right equipment at the right time.
    In this capacity you will be accountable for container fleet management, meeting forecasted demands, moving surplus to deficit regions, working across the Africa region.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Co-own and ensure that we deliver the product and promise we sold to our customers.
    • Ensure equipment flow balance across OCL per equipment type, ensuring balance between import/positioning and exports/evacuation.
    • Ensure equipment availability and proactively highlight potential shortage developments for trade-offs between evacuation and supply.
    • Ensure stocks are per target for dry containers to OCL geographies.
    • Deliver Dry Standard Evacuation Plan (Ocean and Feeder) and empty allocation per service Flow Optimization.
    • Provide direction to regional and ocean fulfilment teams on equipment availability, priorities and direction.
    • Highlight requirements for ensuring equipment balance across equipment types and influence that the necessary decisions/trade-offs are taken.
    • Initiate and share stock projections at a pool level with Equipment team for asset optimization.
    • Drives empty allocation/ discussions with OCL to guarantee proper flow of empty equipment.

    Who we are looking for:

    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the industry would be ideal
    • Able to work autonomously and take calculated and independent decisions under high-pressure scenarios
    • Strong ability to forecast, plan and optimize with other functions
    • Strong sense of accountability
    • Ability to influence upwards
    • Creative and result oriented
    • Data driven
    • Customer empathy
    • Resilient team player who is goal-orientated and demonstrates a high level of commitment with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
    • Excellent Written and Verbal skills with people at all levels across the organisation in English.
