Key Responsibilities:

• Participates in development of e-commerce strategy for Colgate-Palmolive South Africa
• Pure Play or Omnichannel: Customer lead liaison. JBP negotiation. Annual grid. Pricing, Promotional Grid
• Digital asset management. Use key eMerchandising tools like EDGE, Prodigi (Impira), etc. to ensure on site excellence and adherence to brand guidelines. Daily review of performance (search, availability, pricing etc) and implement appropriate changes. Monitor Do & Learns.
• Design & execute the online shopper activations, on site and off site that are customer focused. Liaise with brand teams for strategy and brand guidelines. Guide SEARCH strategy with agency (where applicable). Pricing review. In smaller markets this role will cover digital marketing more broadly too.
• Ensure best in class on site content (images, videos, layout, copy), SEO optimization. Responsible for creating the content and compelling stories that drive conversion.
• Leads development and execution of eRetailer search strategy, and where applicable manages agency resources and relationships.
• Develops and strengthens relationship with TOP On-line retailers in South Africa
• Leads and develops applications of insight into opportunities to improve Colgate-Palmolive business in e-commerce channel
• Through Customer Satisfaction studies and account planning understand customer’s needs and motivations in e-commerce channel
• Monitors the achievement of sales objectives with each assigned account, identify gaps and opportunities on weekly basis and propose plans for exploiting business development activities and implement plans for remedial action
• Monitors 6P (availability, pricing, shelf positioning, POS materials, promotional activities, professional recommendation level) and other e-commerce KPIs (traffic, conversion, etc) execution on a weekly basis, ensuring quick issues are resolved. Build KPIs development plans for On-line retailers to grow mutual e-com business
• Keeps on track e-retailers evolution, evaluate potential customers for Colgate-Palmolive and make proposals for new partnership
• Manages planning and execution of online retailer ecommerce strategy
• Ensures pricing strategy, as well as, promotions strategy to drive incremental sales volume in e-commerce channel
• Develops, prepares and implements agreed annual business plans for each assigned account consistent with overall sales volume in e-commerce channel
• Builds understanding of the e-commerce environment and helps set up and execute medium to long term growth strategies to win in e-commerce
• Helps improve knowledge and understanding of e-commerce within a broader commercial team. Keeps the organization abreast of the latest trends and developments which have business implications

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience of managing key accounts preferably in ecommerce
• Working in e-commerce in either of the formats with clear operational responsibilities
