Job Description

• Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is seeking a qualified Electrician to join their Engineering team. This role is ideal for a skilled artisan with strong industrial electrical experience, exceptional fault-finding abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations, modifications, and upgrades.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams.
• Maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems, automation, and control equipment.
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure optimal plant performance.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental standards.

Minimum Requirements

• N3 qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Qualified Electrician with a completed Trade Test.
• Minimum of 3 years' post-trade test experience in a manufacturing or factory environment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit drawings.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Sound knowledge of:

• Electrical switchgear
• Industrial automation
• Electrical circuits and controls
• AC/DC drives and motors
• PLC systems
• Electronic experience will be advantageous.
• Computer literate with a basic understanding of industrial systems.
• Physically fit and able to work in an industrial environment.
