End User Computing Technician at Woodlands Dairy

Job Description: 

• We are seeking a dedicated End User Computing Technician to provide ICT end-user support, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution of all logged incidents and service requests. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth operations and addressing any ICT-related issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities: 

• The successful candidate will diagnose and resolve user tickets for hardware, software, and network issues, perform remote and deskside troubleshooting, and maintain ICT hardware and software assets.
• They will also administer user accounts, provide technical support for meetings, and participate in technology projects.
• System maintenance tasks include preventative maintenance on devices and ensuring seamless interconnectivity with various systems.
• User support involves guiding users, conducting training sessions, and developing user manuals.
• The technician will also maintain an accurate inventory of ICT assets and prepare standard operating procedures.

Knowledge and Experience Required: 

• The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role, supporting over 600 users.
• They should have hands-on experience with MS Operating Systems, MS Office or M365, and office automation products. Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs is essential.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, a customer-oriented attitude, and strong communication skills are required.
• Experience in an FMCG environment is an advantage. 

Skills and Competencies: 

• A relevant tertiary ICT qualification is required. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft Office 365 Fundamentals, and Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate are advantageous.
