Engineering Operator, B3, KRL093/25GS at Seriti

The role:

• Assist the engineering artisan in performing his/her duties and operate TMM/s or equipment necessary as required by work performed by the engineering section to which he/she is assigned.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Working safely in accordance with the Mine Standards and Procedures and the Mine Health and Safety Act and Regulations
• Comply to the Zivikele Rules
• Comply with Seriti’s Standards and Procedures
• Operation of mobile machinery and mine LDV’s
• Cleaning workshops, vehicles & maintaining good housekeeping standards
• Assisting Artisan with day-to-day tasks
• Perform any other duties in and around your area of work as per operational requirements
• Identifying faults on electrical cables at Reticulation workshop
• Have a good understanding regarding cable work & repairs
• Material handling and working at heights & in confined spaces
• Patrolling Conveyors and reporting defects to the supervisors
• Inspection on samplers for proper operation

Requirements:

• Grade 12 with Math (not Math Literacy) and Science or National Certificate with N2 Math and Science
• Equipment Specific Licenses
• Technical Ability Assessment
• High regard for safety regulations, policies, and standards with an excellent safety record
• Have sound knowledge of safety systems and standard
• To be an active safety role model
• The ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Willing and able to work overtime, shifts, standbys, and call outs when required
• Must be able to work in a team
• Be able to cope with pressure in a production environment
• Must be prepared to do a practical driving assessment and be deemed competent
• Must be willing to undergo a behavioral assessment
• Must have a valid K53 driver’s license
• In possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness

Advantageous:

• Code 10 or 14 driver’s license
• N2 Subjects
• Previous Mining or Earth-moving experience
