Provide leadership to a team of digital designers, engineers, technicians, and modellers
Coordinating the design and virtual construction of the relevant building such as data centres, education and sports facilities, hospitals, commercial buildings, and transport facilities
Managing and quality checking deliverables (incl. modelling works, data/parameter management) carried out by global and multinational dispersed & remote teams
Co-ordinating with other disciplines
Facilitating virtual and mixed reality sessions for co-ordination and consultation purposes, and be interested in the research and implementation of new BIM technology into project work
Maintain project records in accordance with internal quality system
Challenge the team to remain ahead of the technology curve, regarding technical trends, as well as design execution
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the Structural Engineering environment, within the built environment, preferably within a consulting engineering business
A strong background in lateral design of structural using software such as Etabs, Strand7 or Robot.
Experience with managing design teams, to complete tasks and produce high quality deliverables such as drawings, reports, equipment schedules and calculations on time
Relevant tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, B.Eng. (Civil),
Pr. Eng registration (beneficial)
Meng in structural engineering will be advantageous
Previous exposure to datacentre, stadiums, education, healthcare, and other commercial related projects
International project experience (outside Africa) (beneficial)
A willingness to learn and investigate technological systems
A strong interest in working on innovative and complex projects
A passion for design data management and coding (beneficial)
