Nurture Cape View provides medical care, and acute and sub-acute rehabilitation treatment for people with a wide range of disabilities caused by disease or injuries. These include spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, neurological disorders, orthopaedic conditions and other debilitating conditions and illnesses.
Nurture Health is looking for a caring and patient-focused Enrolled Nursing Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. Reporting to the Nursing Manager, you will support the Registered Nurse by providing hands-on care, noticing and reporting changes in patients, and helping patients feel safe and supported during their rehabilitation journey.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out your daily nursing duties and patient care tasks according to the shift leader’s instructions and Nurture Health’s nursing policies and routines.
Observe patients carefully, report any changes in their condition, and share clear information with the Registered Nurse and other members of the healthcare team.
Provide safe, respectful hands-on care, including helping with movement and positioning, skin and pressure care, hydration and toileting needs, observing symptoms and medication effects, and giving clear handovers.
Requirements
Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary, with experience providing nursing care to patients with more complex care needs, preferably in the private healthcare sector.
Basic knowledge (Level 1) of rehabilitation practice, learning and development, and professionalism, with good observation, communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
A caring and responsible team player who is passionate about patient wellbeing and rehabilitation, follows the SANC Code of Ethics, stays calm under pressure, and is comfortable working within clear routines and guidelines.
