Enrolled Nurse -Durdoc at Joint Medical Holdings

PURPOSE OF POSITION

• To provide age appropriate patient care according to the nursing scope of practice as defined by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Must be able to practice within your scope of practice as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Ability to understand and follow policies, procedures and protocols.
• Must be competent with the hospitals policies and regulations.
• To ensure that theatre is always running at the highest standards.
• Must be able to provide safe, quality patient care in theatre.
• Comply with SANC and stakeholder legislation.

COMPETENCIES (The following will be advantageous)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

(Educational Qualifications & Experience)

• Registered with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse with valid APC.
• Preferably have two or more years of experience as an Enrolled Nurse in theatre.
• At least one (1) year experience with anaesthetics in theatre and circulating nurses experience is essential.
• Good interpersonal skills with doctors, patients and colleagues are essential.
• Must be prepared to work addition hours.
• Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision.
• Must be computer literate- MS Word & Excel.
• Must be prepared to do shift- work (night shift/ day shift).
