Duration of contract: Fixed term Employment Contract for 3 years with option to renew for a further 2 years

Job Purpose:
To deliver the Technical Platform Implementation of approved low-level technical infrastructure solution designs, to transition new implementations and implementation changes to support and to lead root-cause analysis on platform malfunctions, guide remediation, communicate design issues and / or procedural change required to avoid recurrence, document the outcome and communicate the results. To meet both functional and non-functional infrastructure solutioning objectives through platform implementation and operation.

Mandatory Requirements:
1. General
1. South African Citizen
2. Relevant tertiary qualifications and/ or applicable courses
3. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in in an Enterprise Technologist or equivalent role


2. Technologies
The solutioning skillset must include, but is not restricted to:
- Technical Platform Implementation level experience (one or more required, cloud version requires matching on-premises version)
- Microsoft On-Premises
- Microsoft Cloud (Azure, 365)
- Oracle On-Premises
- Oracle Cloud (primarily Oracle Integration Cloud and Oracle CRM)
- OpenText On-Premises
- ESRi ArcGIS On-Premises
- ESRi ArcGIS Cloud
- Ability to Problem Solve and perform Root-Cause Analysis on the one or more of the platforms above.
- Identifying and communicating technical design issues to remediate and prevent future problem recurrence.
- Modifying technical implementation or support processes to remediate and prevent future problem recurrence.

Knowledge of the following would be advantageous:
- Infrastructure architecture: Data Centre, Hosting, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud), Storage, Virtualisation, IAM.
- Network architecture: LAN, WAN, MPLS, Routers, Switches, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPN, Network Optimisation, Network Load Balancing.
- Systems architecture: Operating Systems, Content Management, Records / Document Management, Business Intelligence, Learning Management (LMS), 3rd Party Access (Azure B2B / B2C), .Net platform Development, SharePoint Platform Development, SQL Server
- Integration Architecture: Middleware, Messaging, Enterprise Service Bus, Web Services, SoA, Web Services, Managed File Transfer (MFT), Service Abstraction.
- Security architecture: IAM, Unified Threat Management, Firewalls, Anti-Virus, Web Application Proxy, Claims Based Authentication (3rd party Access), Intrusion Prevention / Detection, Web-Application Firewalls.
- Software architecture including: application design and development, forms and workflow, platform development (e.g. SharePoint / OpenText), web services, mobile development.
- Data architecture including: Data Governance, Database platform design, relational data design, warehouse design, logical data warehouse, data virtualisation, business intelligence, general reporting, BI reporting, self-service reporting, ETL, master data management, data quality management Data Portfolio Management (DPM).
- Governance – Architecture Governance, Data Governance, ITIL and COBIT process design, System / Platform Policy Development, Demand and Operational Management Process design, Technology Guidelines, Application Portfolio Management (APM).
