Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo is a not-for-gain company established under Section 21 of the South African Companies Act and wholly owned by the City of Johannesburg. It is tasked with the maintenance of burial grounds, parks, green areas, wetlands and trees around Johannesburg.

Educate and raise awareness about environmental issues, plan commemorative events for environmental theme days, and conduct outreach campaigns to schools and City residents, implement curricula aligned educational programmes at education centres and nature reserved.
Minimum entry requirements:
M + 3 (Matric plus 3 years of study) (Qualification with 360 credits or Diploma NQF 6 Environmental Management /Environmental Science/Environmental Education ).
Youth between 18 – 35 years of age, people with disability are encouraged to apply.
Required documents: Application letter, Curriculum vitae, copy of certified qualifications and proof of residence in the City of Johannesburg.
