National Diploma (NQF6) in Environmental Sciences / Natural Sciences or relevant qualification as recognized by SAQA.
A minimum of on (1) year experience in environmental management or relevant field.
Understanding and knowledge of environmental quality and protection related policies.
Applicant must have a broad knowledge of environmental policy, legislation and regulation development, waste management planning and environmental issues relation to pollution and waste management. Policy and legislative framework governing pollution and waste management.
Understanding of government standard administrative procedure.
Applicant must have knowledge and understanding public service and departmental procedure.
Have the following personal attributes: strategic, analytical and creative thinking, ability to collect and interpret information and reports, ability to apply policies, good interpersonal relations skills, conflict management and resolution, ability to organise and plan under pressure.
Must have good report writing skills, communication skills, advanced computer skills and excellent time management.
The incumbent must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel.
