The Executive Head of School is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of all aspects of a school's operations, including academic programs, student services, facility management, budgeting, and community engagement. The Executive Head of School works closely with the school's board of directors, staff, students, and families to ensure the school's mission and vision are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a strategic plan for the school that aligns with its mission and goals
Provide leadership and direction to all staff members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment
Oversee the development and implementation of academic programs, ensuring they are in line with best practices and standards
Manage the school's budget and resources effectively, ensuring financial sustainability
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including parents, alumni, donors, and community partners
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards
Lead the recruitment, retention, and professional development of staff members
Implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students
Represent the school in public forums and events, advocating for its interests and promoting its achievements
Act as a visionary leader, continuously seeking ways to grow and improve the school's programs and services
Qualifications:
Master's degree in education, leadership, or a related field
Minimum of five years of experience in a leadership role within an educational institution
Proven track record of successfully managing and leading a team of professionals
Strong understanding of educational best practices and trends
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
