Executive Head: Operations Mpumalanga at Vodafone Global Enterprise

Role purpose:

To lead and direct the Operations function to ensure a reliable high quality network service is provided to customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• To provide leadership to the Operations team in order to ensure the VSA strategy is embraced and executed in the Eastern region.
• To ensure the Eastern region meets all set network quality targets.
• To ensure the Eastern region meets set rollout targets without compromising network quality 
• To come up with strategies to reduce cost of network rollout.
• To ensure the region has sound network capacity plans end to end i.e RAN, Core, Access TX and Core TX.
• To provide guidance in rollout of new technologies such as LTE, ensuring zero negative impact on network quality and revenue

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• B Degree in Engineering or
• 3-year Diploma or SAQA equivalent in Electrical Engineering  (light current)
• At least 8 years experience in   Operations within a telecommunication network operator. (Essential), inclusive of the following:
• Must have at least 5 years of experience in one of the following operational areas: Radio Planning & Optimisation/Radio Maintenance & Transmission/Network Performance Management/Project Management/ Property Management/Switching (Essential)
