Executive Manager: Health Standards Development, Analysis and Support
An all-inclusive salary package of R 1,436, 022 per annum (basic salary consists of 70% of the total package, OHSC’s contribution to the Government Employee Pension Fund (13% of basic salary) and a flexible portion. The flexible portion can be structured according to OHSC guidelines.
Requirements:
A matric certificate. An NQF level 8 degree in Medicine or Nursing.
A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in healthcare services, of which at least five (5) years should have been in health systems, health policy and/or health analysis at a senior management level.
Three (3) of the afore-mentioned years’ experience must include health standards development and/or quality assurance and information management. Excellent communication and report writing skills as well as good stakeholder and interpersonal relations. A valid driver license. Willingness to work outside of normal working hours is essential.
Advantages: A post-graduate qualification in one of the following disciplines: Public Health, Epidemiology, Quality Management, Data Management or Health Systems would be preferred.
Duties:
Develop, Review and implement a framework and strategies for health standards design, analysis and support.
Oversee the review, research, design and development of health standards and their measurement. Provide guidance on the development of inspection tools.
Conduct extensive consultations and provide guidance to stakeholders on the interpretation and implementation of inspection tools.
Oversee the health establishments registration, by ensuring a complete and comprehensive OHSC health establishment registry, data systems and reporting.
Ensure the provision of health standards guidance and support for relevant authorities responsible for health establishments. Oversee the development accreditation of the OHSC inspectors and continuous training on health standards and inspection tools.
Oversee the analysis and interpretation of OHSC data to produce recommendations report on quality assurance for the health system issued by the OHSC Lead and guide OHSC’s research and publication.
Lead and guide information management knowledge sharing and business intelligence. Provide overall management and leadership of staff and resources within the division and any technical responsibilities.
