Exploration Manager at Resolute Mining Limited

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager of Exploration and as a key member of the Syama management team, the primary purpose of this role is to lead the exploration programme on all Mali Exploration projects, with the objective of discovering new and economically viable gold deposits that will have a significant impact on the company’s earnings and growth. This position is based in our Syama Mine, Mali, West Africa.

About You

Your ability to plan, risk assess and manage multiple exploration activities is exceptional. You possess experience in working in developing countries and your social perceptiveness makes you aware of how your own management style impacts on others. Your ability to be able to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate sensitivity and active listening when working with different cultures, will see you stand out in this role.

You have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and take a collaborative approach to achieving results, being able to easily build and maintain productive working relationships. You are able to demonstrate strong leadership and supervision and will have experience in managing change and developing highly capable teams, to meet the future requirements of the business.

Key Requirements

Degree / University level certification in Geoscience discipline.

Minimum ten (10) years mining industry experience, including at least five (5) years practical exploration experience, preferably in Africa.

Exceptional Project Management and organizational skills.

Sound understanding and recognition of mineralization models and geological processes.

Sound understanding of geological, geophysical, geochemical and drilling Exploration methods and technologies.

 Advanced integration skills of multi-disciplinary datasets

Proficient in the use of Data Shed, Micromine, MapInfo.
