External Events Specialist - (543) at BankservAfrica

Your key responsibilities include:

• Ensure adherence and add input to the effective and accountable processes around events that meet the needs of the business
• Ensure that events practices are aligned to marketing deliverables and business requirements
• Ensure that events are aligned to the brand strategy
• Identify trends and opportunities aligned best practices around events
• Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions to solve business communication challenges
• Identify and scope opportunities for improvement / innovation
• Deliver campaigns that are aligned to the company and brand values and standards
• Events meets the needs of the business and effectively communicates the intended messages
• Ensure effective use and selection of relevant platforms
• Appropriate selection of promotional items and alignment to campaign messaging
• Work with business to strengthen and increase our position in the market through effective events
• Work with business to develop and increase reputation through strategic events
• Effective and responsible supplier, venue and contractor management
• Reports about the activation in terms of event effectiveness against the brief and business requirements
• All events and branding at events must be aligned to the BankservAfrica brand
• Implementation of the marketing plan in conjunction with the marketing team
• Ensure that events are implemented and aligned to strategic business initiatives

QUALIFICATION / KNOWLEDGE 

• Three year marketing qualification or similar
• Creative thinker
• Strategic thinker
• Understanding of the payments industry is desirable
• Effective project and event management skills
• Effective planning and organisational skills
• Required computer literacy levels
• Proficient English language skills
• Professional writing skills
• Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work under pressure
• May be required to work after hours and on weekends

EXPERIENCE

• 5 years’ experience in an events specialist role
• 5 years’ experience in event management
• 5 years working experience in a corporate environment
• Evidence of successful events
