    Facilitator and Marker: Design Thinking/User-Centered Design/Experience Design

    Job Summary

    • Red & Yellow’s Online Education team is on the hunt for a well qualified, seasoned Design Thinking professional with plenty of experience user-centred design, experience design and in virtual facilitation with a passion for sharing their knowledge. This role will provide you an excellent opportunity to support and enhance the learning journeys of talented Red & Yellow students.
    • It primarily entails assisting in developing and delivering workshop/tutorial/lecture (programme dependent) content through virtual channels and other digital tools. In this role, you would form an integral component of learning programme roll out for students enrolled in design-centred programmes based on the National Certificate in Design Techniques (SAQA ID 90721).
    • These programmes would include User-Centred Design, User Experience, Design for Non-Designers, and Experience Design. You would work closely with, and be supported by, a reliable Programme Manager, in tandem with a well-versed Instructional Design team. As this is a contract/part-time position, this role would best suit Design Th


    Key Responsibilities and Duties

    • Develop and assist in the updating of workshop/tutorial/lecture content and presentation decks in consultation with R&Y Instructional Design team
    • Deliver/facilitate engaging and interactive virtual workshop/tutorial/lecture sessions one to three times a week through Zoom and/or Teams
    • Develop and facilitate assessment support sessions (e.g. Q&A sessions) to assist learners/students in the successful completion of their assignments
    • Where required consulting on the development of formal assessments
    • Be available to timeously respond to learner/student queries via email (ad-hoc basis with a 24-hour turn-around time)
    • Be available for learner/student consultation sessions on assessments as needed (ad-hoc basis)
    • Mark and provide feedback on assessments
    • Assess assessments as a MICT SETA registered assessor (only if registered)
    • Assist in overall programme roll out

    Qualifications, Requirements and Skills

    • Own laptop equipped with webcam and microphone of reasonable standard
    • Stable, reliable internet
    • Quiet working/presentation space
    • Access to Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Miro, Figma

    Advantageous

    • Proficiency in Moodle LMS
    • Learnership facilitation experience
    • Demonstrable understanding of Higher Education and Training landscape
    • Reasonable level of knowledge of relevant regulatory body requirements (SAQA, SETA, DHET, CHE, etc.)
    • MICT SETA Registered Assessor or Moderator status
    • Design Thinking experience in the banking or financial sector
    • Student support experience
