Factory Manager - Cape Town Scrap Metal Branch at SA Metal Group

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the branch's operations and staff
• Ensure scrap metal is purchased at the correct grade and weight, and that all purchase and dispatch records are accurately maintained and reconciled
• Ensure full compliance with the Second-Hand Goods Act, including accurate recording of all information required under the Act
• Manage stock control, inventory accuracy and cash
• Lead the branch staff to meet daily operational and purchasing targets
• Manage staff discipline, timekeeping and attendance directly - including initiating and running disciplinary processes where required
• Maintain vigilance against theft, fraud, bribery and dishonesty, and escalate any suspected irregularities immediately to senior management
• Maintain strong customer relations and resolve customer complaints professionally
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations
• Prepare accurate daily, weekly and monthly operational and financial reports for senior management
• Work closely with senior management and other branch managers to share best practice across sites
