Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 10/Standard 8 or AET Level 4 (Essential/Minimum)
• Skills Programme in Field Ranger Law Enforcement (Essential/Minimum)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant job-specific Ranger experience (Essential)
• Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum)
• Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum)
• Valid Public Driver's License, Code EB (Essential/Minimum)
• Strong understanding of conservation practices and environmental legislation enforcement
• Ability to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and emergency services
• Proficient in monitoring and access control to conservation areas
• Effective communication skills for interaction with visitors and stakeholders

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Conduct regular patrols to prevent unauthorized access and detect potential security threats.
• Monitor and enforce access control measures and guidelines within conservation areas.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and community stakeholders to support conservation efforts and emergency services.
• Implement and enforce environmental and land conservation bylaws and legislation.
• Support conservation management activities by gathering information and maintaining ecological data.
• Ensure adherence to Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) standards for a safe and healthy work environment.
• Maintain comprehensive records of wildlife surveys, erosion monitoring, and visitor activities for management analysis.
• Foster an understanding of the natural environment by interacting with visitors and promoting conservation awareness.
• Respond promptly to safety incidents and operational needs with agility and efficiency.
• Stay informed about innovative conservation practices and contribute to developing strategic solutions.
