Job Description    

• Join Lactalis at our offices in Western Cape and take on the challenging role as Financial Accountant. You will be responsible for fixed assets, insurance, month ends, audits and reporting. You will be required to add further value by improving systems and processes and supporting other Lactalis Africa countries

Required Skills    

• B.Comm. / Hons or similar qualification.
• 3-5 Years’ experience in similar role.
• Technical knowledge of assets handling (accounting & tax)
• ERP system experience
• Computer Literacy (Strong/Advanced level in Microsoft Office products)
• Strong project management and people management
• Good data analytic skills
• Ability to identify critical information to assist in problem solving
• Able to manage KPI’s to enhance business performance
• Excellent communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and be able to take own initiative
• Good written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Fixed Assets – Management of Fixed Assets registers; all related transaction processing, reporting, verification, depreciation, budgeting, forecasting, taxation calculations
• Capex – transaction processing, capitalizations, reporting, savings
• Insurance – Monitor and verify claims, monthly payment co-ordination, vehicle insurance confirmation, month end processing, reporting
• Month End – Various transaction processing (Fixed Assets register movements, journals)
• Reconciliations - various
• Management and Corporate Reporting - various
• Africa Countries (system support and reporting)
• Year-end Audits
• System and Process improvements
• Project Management
• Documentation of processes/procedures
