Finance and Asset Manager

Reporting directly to the CEO of this private real estate developer and property management business, the ultimate goal of this role is to help the organization grow to new heights and achieve success on a wider scale. If you are able to demonstrate a track record of adding real value to previous employers by using the numbers to track trends and predict problems, then we should be talking. Our client is a diversified real estate business that operates in the commercial, industrial, retail, and residential building development, ownership, and management. They hold assets across South Africa, but this position is likely to be based out of Pietermaritzburg and/or Durban

Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to:

• Preparation of Monthly Management and Asset Performance packs
• Sign-off of all group payments, recons, and monthly rental schedule
• Management of MDA software package
• Responsible for all items related to VAT and Tax
• Preparation of yearly audit packs, portfolio budgets
• Staff management of 3 Property Portfolio Manager, Financial Controller, and Administration Manager

You will need at least 10 years' experience in financial management and real estate to be considered for this role. The client has transitioned from Pastel to MDA / MRI accounting and asset management software recently, and therefore previous experience with MDA / MRI is essential. A CA(SA) or CIMA qualification would be highly beneficial, but candidates with a B.Com Hons with completed articles would be considered too.
