    Finance Business Partner

    Responsibilities

    • Support on timely and efficient closing process and submission of monthly- and annual reporting packages for various countries in MEA (mainly for Sub-Sahara area)
    • Liaise with Vestas internal stakeholders and departments, as well as external consultants to secure full understanding of accounting and VAT, WHT for MEA countries
    • Coordinate on group- and local audit execution and secure all relevant information is documented properly
    • Ensure preparation, completion and submission of all statutory returns including VAT, WHT, CIT and any local statutory reporting as per due dates
    • Close co-ordination with SARS (South African Revenue Service) and KRA (Kenyan Revenue Authority) to complete tax audits and other audits on time in quality
    • Supervise the strict internal control documentation requirements within MEA Region
    • Specialize in the financial processes and co-ordinate closely with financial shared service center (SSC) in Manila to carry out the day-to-day and month-end related tasks
    • Support on budgets and forecasts of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss and Cashflows, as well as coordinate with Banks on day-to-day operations
    • Handle local insurance claims and coordinate efforts on travel and business expenses reporting
    • Act as bridge between SSC and business mainly on P2P process
    • Be a significant contributor in cross functional projects, like implementation of new acts and regulations (mainly for Sub-Sahara area)
    • Closely work with local management team and support on all financial aspects
    • Act as a cluster finance business partner working closely with local management
    • Enhance over time controlling capabilities to supervise also business controlling activities
    • Fluent in English is essential

    Qualifications

    • Relevant Bachelor / Master's degree in Finance, with at least 5 to 7 years of relevant financial working experience, and extended experience with finance, audit, tax, financial compliance and local regulations etc.
    • Good understanding of the Local VAT/WHT/CIT and other local statutory laws prevalent and solid knowledge about IFRS accounting guidelines and principles
    • Good understanding about ED (Economic development score), BBBEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment), Empowerment trust and its requirements etc.
    • Advanced Excel and PPT skills, Experience with SAP, SAP/BI and SAP/BPC

    Competencies

    • Complying to Vestas GAAP and Local GAAP, requires ability to understand complex and diverse accounting standards and tax rules
    • Good organization and multi-tasking skills, capacity to to adapt to a complex environment
    • Capacity to motivate, guide and boost morale of the teams within a multicultural organization, as well as explain Finance relevant projects to non-Finance colleagues
