    Finance Business Partner

    Responsibilities

    • Support on timely and efficient closing process and submission of monthly- and annual reporting packages for various countries in MEA (mainly for Sub-Sahara area)
    • Liaise with Vestas internal stakeholders and departments, as well as external consultants to secure full understanding of accounting and VAT, WHT for MEA countries
    • Coordinate on group- and local audit execution and secure all relevant information is documented properly
    • Ensure preparation, completion and submission of all statutory returns including VAT, WHT, CIT and any local statutory reporting as per due dates
    • Close co-ordination with SARS (South African Revenue Service) and KRA (Kenyan Revenue Authority) to complete tax audits and other audits on time in quality
    • Supervise the strict internal control documentation requirements within MEA Region
    • Specialize in the financial processes and co-ordinate closely with financial shared service center (SSC) in Manila to carry out the day-to-day and month-end related tasks
    • Support on budgets and forecasts of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss and Cashflows, as well as coordinate with Banks on day-to-day operations
    • Handle local insurance claims and coordinate efforts on travel and business expenses reporting
    • Act as bridge between SSC and business mainly on P2P process
    • Be a significant contributor in cross functional projects, like implementation of new acts and regulations (mainly for Sub-Sahara area)
    • Closely work with local management team and support on all financial aspects
    • Act as a cluster finance business partner working closely with local management
    • Enhance over time controlling capabilities to supervise also business controlling activities
    • Fluent in English is essential

    Qualifications

    • Relevant Bachelor / Master's degree in Finance, with at least 5 to 7 years of relevant financial working experience, and extended experience with finance, audit, tax, financial compliance and local regulations etc.
    • Good understanding of the Local VAT/WHT/CIT and other local statutory laws prevalent and solid knowledge about IFRS accounting guidelines and principles
    • Good understanding about ED (Economic development score), BBBEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment), Empowerment trust and its requirements etc.
    • Advanced Excel and PPT skills, Experience with SAP, SAP/BI and SAP/BPC

    Competencies

    • Complying to Vestas GAAP and Local GAAP, requires ability to understand complex and diverse accounting standards and tax rules
    • Good organization and multi-tasking skills, capacity to to adapt to a complex environment

    Inbound and Customs Transport Coordinator

    Responsibilities

    Transport & Customs in Vestas MED have the overall responsibility to secure a well-functioning import and export process to fulfill the business need in markets across the MED region with the possible lowest cost meanwhile, to ensure that we are conducting our business in compliance with internal and external rules and regulations. The responsibility may include:

    • Address and support customs & transport issues in relation to new market entry
    • Support, coordinate, develop and monitor the customs brokerage and transport business in MED
    • Assist the Sales Business Units with due diligence calculations
    • Participate in developing concepts and processes across regions to assist reduce overall operating costs
    • Operationally address customs handling in the MED region
    • Support on customs audits
    • Support on Transport booking & execution.
    • Secure that relevant stakeholders are kept updated on customs issues and changes to regulations that may have compliance or cost impacts
    • Support on Invoicing and ensure correct P2P application. Reduce P&B.
    • Create local recording of customs & shipping documents related to import / export of each country
    • Provide accurate reporting as per units needs

    Qualifications

    • Experience: We are looking for a candidate with a total professional experience of 5 years with at least 3 years of related experience within the transport and customs area in industrial retail, or role in the forwarding industry supporting industry retail, or similar role in customs brokerage services. Experience in a large international forwarding company , or oversize industrial projects .
    • Education: University level degree in Engineering or Technical or Commercials. Graduated in International trade or Customs compliance desirable.
    • Candidates must prove good knowledge of South Africa import / export processes, Customs requirements as well as South Africa inland distribution network.
    • Solid understanding of international trade terminology and Customs regulation should be proven.

    Service Technician - West Coast (South Africa)

    Responsibilities: 

    • Closely adhere to all safety standards and procedures. 
    • Act as a safety role model, encourage and recognize others completing safe acts, and intervene when unsafe acts are being practiced. Identify gaps in safety standards and safety risks in the operational environment, implement effective risk mitigation, and provide recommendations to higher-level technical staff and management
    • Demonstrate and promote integrity, significant initiative, a no-compromise focus on safety, and quality of work on a continuous basis and may assist with or perform basic quality audits of less experienced staff
    • Perform intermediate level wind turbine maintenance,  installation tasks as assigned, such as proficient operation and use of tools (including but not limited to specialized calibration, hydraulic, power tools) and basic turbine equipment.     • Effectively gather information regarding turbine performance / issues. May diagnose, recommend, and implement solutions up to intermediate routine issues. Seek assistance when encountering turbine issues outside trained skill level to ensure success in resolution
    • Follow basic structured problem-solving process to complete troubleshooting and diagnostic tasks to include the use of diagnostic tools (e.g. basic fluke meter functions, hydraulic pressure gauge) and with limited supervision initiate and perform most work tasks, as well as follow defined instructions and maintenance schedules, carrying out plans as directed, and perform according to written and verbal instruction from higher-level technical staff
    • Effectively promote solid team environment by assisting teammates in accomplishing goals and mentoring lower level technical staff.     Qualifications: 

    • Tertiary diploma or equivalent and a minimum one (1) year technical wind industry experience, OR six (6) months technical wind industry experience and a certificate of completion from a Wind Technician program.
    • Trade tested - Electrical & Mechanical .
    • Demonstrated use and understanding of intermediate level power tools such as hydraulic, power torque and diagnostic tools (e.g. fluke meter functions and hydraulic manometer )
    • Ability to demonstrate an intermediate working knowledge of industrial safety practices / protocols (e.g. Confined Space, energy isolation)
    • Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a Passport
    • Good attention to detail and execution quality and good interpersonal and customer relation skills as well as the ability to effectively collaborate with employees at all professional levels and ability to respectfully follow supervision and support initiatives
    • Basic computer operation skills, familiarity with internet-based program navigation, and ability to generate and interpret computer data and ability to read, interpret and understand drawings and schematics to validate work activity and ensure that risks are identified and mitigated

    Competencies

    • Ability to constantly climb stairs and ladders 60-125 meters in height, in order to access work area as well as the ability to frequently lift, pull, and carry items up to 30 Kg in weight
