    Finance Clerk

    Purpose of the job:

    To assist with the management of Treasury Function; Accounts Receivable Payment management; Assist with Month End Close. Provide clerical and administrative support in the Finance Department.

    Job specifications/responsibilities will include the following:

    Reconciliation

             Stock Recons, Cash related clearing accounts, other balance sheet reconciliations

    Finance Admin

    • Fixed Assets – Capturing of invoices
    • Month end Journals – Rebates in stock, obsolete stock, admin fees, management fees, advertising, portal accruals;
    • Reviewing of Income statement – other income, expenses and any additional expense reviews
    • Reviewing of Departmental accounts – analyse the accounts and ensure accuracy and correctness Trade Summary Schedules – Inputting of trade summary numbers into excel for journal purposes Assist with income statement queries
    • Month end reporting – run the month end reports

       Ad hoc schedules

    • Send monthly accounts and schedules
    • General office duties
    • Printing of bank statements daily & forwarding to Debtors
    • Capturing all debtor’s payments on GP and balancing of batches
    • Banking
    • Printing of bank statements daily & forwarding to Debtors
    • Daily management of cash controls

    Adhoc Administration

             Assist Assistant Accountant and Accountants with input and preparation of accounts.  

    Qualifications:

             Matric essential - tertiary qualification an advantage.

    Experience:

    • 2-3 years related experience in a finance environment with focus on administration.
    • Honesty in the handling of cash and finances
    • “Employment Equity Policy Requirements may be applicable”
