We are inviting suitable candidates to apply for the Finance Intern role within Belgotex's Finance department. The successful candidate will perform a variety of operational and analytical tasks within the department and will report to the Financial Accountant / Credit Risk Manager.

Role Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting debtors’ clerks with unresolved claims
• Carry out follow-ups regarding invoices
• Customer liaison on problem accounts
• Provide assistance with the debtors processing
• Sorting and filing of financial records
• Accurate allocation of payments received
• Reconciliation of customer accounts
• Prepare documents for customer discounts and allowances
• Ensure that all prices on invoices are correct
• Process credit & debit notes
• Accurately load price lists
• Reconcile internal accounts
• Perform all admin and ad hoc tasks as assigned by designated supervisor
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Requirements

• Educational Requirements
• Grade 12 and,
• A completed Bachelor of Commerce Degree / Diploma in Accounting or relevant equivalent
• qualification

Required Technical and Soft Skills

• Computer literate and proficient in MS Office productivity tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Analytical Thinker
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Must be able to work under pressure

• Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion
