Job Description

• Are you a qualified CA(SA) with solid financial leadership experience in the mining sector? My client is looking for a strategic and commercially astute Financial Manager to join their high-performing team.
• This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives under pressure and brings a blend of financial precision and commercial insight.
• In this role, you'll be responsible for driving financial reporting, overseeing commercial finance functions, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You'll manage a team of 5, report directly to the Head of Finance & Commercial, and play a pivotal role in business-critical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full ownership of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting under IFRS
• Lead working capital management, cost control, and financial performance tracking
• Oversee sales invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and inventory valuation
• Manage cash flow, treasury, FX, and debt facilities
• Ensure compliance with corporate tax, VAT, and audit regulations
• Drive risk management, internal controls, and governance
• Mentor and lead a skilled finance team

Requirements:

• CA(SA) with 7+ years post-articles experience
• Must come from the mining sector
• Proven financial management in commodity marketing/trading (advantageous)
• Advanced knowledge of IFRS
• Strong leadership, analytical, and commercial decision-making skills
