Finance Manager at Pumpkin Patch Foods

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including month-end and year-end processes.
• Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage and mentor one direct report (Accountant).
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Logistics, and Warehouse departments, to ensure smooth operational flow.
• Take ownership of financial processes and contribute to the overall efficiency of the organization.
• Manage supplier relationships and resolve supplier queries.
• Oversee debtor and creditor functions, including reconciliations and managing old debt.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments.
• Maintain and update product costings.
• Manage bank accounts and perform bank reconciliations.
• Oversee payroll processes.
• Address and resolve daily financial queries.
• Manage fleet administration (licenses, roadworthy).
• Contribute to stock management processes.
• Manage the tax affairs of the company (provisional tax, VAT submissions, etc.)
• Ensure accurate capturing of supplier invoices and statements.

Requirements:

• Preferably completed audit articles.
• CPA or similar professional registration is essential.
• Minimum of 3 years post-article experience in a finance role.
• While industry experience is not a strict requirement, preference will be given to candidates with a background in agro-processing or any other type of processing industry.
