Required Skills and Competencies

1. Experience in managing donor-funded projects.
2. Experience working within a non-profit environment and knowledge of non-profit accounting principles.
3. Expert in accounting, banking, budgeting and financial management.
4. Good understanding of accounting principles and standards and familiarity with IPSAS.
5. Certification in ACCA, CPA, and CIMA will be an added advantage.
6. Experience in project audits, risk management and internal control.
7. Good understanding of treasury management and liquidity management.
8. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, as well as a good understanding of office practices and procedures.
9. High level of integrity and accountability, flexible approaches to work coupled with enthusiasm and commitment.
10. Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure with a wide range of individuals and institutions.
11. Able to work under minimal supervision, be proactive, initiative, and with sound judgment.
12. Excellent communication and writing skills.
13. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness.
14. Maintain confidentiality at the highest level at all times.

17. Proficiency in the use of computer applications, MS Office, especially MS Excel and SAP ERP.

Education and Experience:

• Candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and one (1) year of progressive responsibility in a busy finance office managing donor-funded projects in an international or multinational organisation.
