Finance Solutions Analyst at Afro Ant Consulting

INTRODUCTION

We are looking for a Finance Solutions Analyst to assess and implement financial metadata as it relates to accounting policies and data management practices.

The role requires a background in technical IFRS accounting, data governance and data analysis. The person should be analytical, have a good problem-solving aptitude, accountable for driving delivery and collaborate with others to meet deliverables.  The focus will initially be on a migration project where knowledge of the reporting process and a logical assessing mind is critical.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

• BCom Finance Honours
• Qualified Chartered Accountant is advantageous

Experience and Skills

• International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) experience in the Financial Services sector
• Oracle Financials and Hyperion Financial Management experience is advantageous
• At least 3 years’ relevant post-qualification experience
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Accounting

• A good understanding of IFRS standards
• Experience in a Financial Services industry is advantageous
• An understanding of Meta and Master accounting data
• Exposure to IFRS reporting process
• Ability to question current process, reporting or way of doing and propose best solution and/or improvement

Stakeholder Management

• Providing support to IT developers and business stakeholders regarding the build and delivery of a new reporting chart of accounts

Personal Effectiveness

• Accountable for service delivery through own efforts
• Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality over periods of 1 day to a maximum of three months
• Makes increased contributions by broadening individual skills
• Collaborates effectively with others to achieve goals
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
