Financial Accountant at Telesure Investment Holdings (TIH)

• Responsible for complete accurate and timely accounting records on a monthly basis
• Responsible for preparation of monthly and annual financial statements for management and auditing purposes.
• Responsible for effective daily cash management of the company.
• Preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly and annual statutory returns.
• Responsible for the preparation of a month end file with reconciliations and documentation to support the trial balance.
• Ensuring compliance with internal and external deadlines set by business and regulating bodies
• To manage and coordinate the daily tasks of junior and supervisory staff to deliver accurate and timely financial records.
• To establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external business partners on a daily basis
• Deliver the Telesure Service Way through personal effort and through others.
• Deliver on Treating Customers Fairly principles in alignment with regulatory requirements

Requirements
Level Of Education

• Essential: 3 year B.com financial accounting degree
• Desirable: Completed honours degree

Experience

• Minimal completed articles
• 1 -2 years post article related experience

Knowledge Of

• Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
• Companies Act
• TAX and VAT Act
