About the Financial Assistant position

• We are looking for a skilled Financial Assistant who will be responsible for all aspects of assisting line managers with financial management, debtor & creditor management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation. You will help review and develop our internal control policies and procedures as well as perform financial risk management.
• Financial Assistant responsibilities are:
• Billing, A/R, A/P, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition, GL and Counsel

Debtor Management

• Assist in the the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and and preparation of reports on the results
• Assist with the company's month-end and year-end close processes
• Perform quality control over financial transactions
• Assist with the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Assist with creating timely monthly financial statements.

Financial Assistant requirements are:

Tertiary Diploma in Finance / Bachelors in Finance preferred

• 2+ years' experience of working on a Financial Assistant / Controller position
• Advantage in extensive experience with Debtor Management.
• Profound experience with accounting procedures and principles
• Experience with general ledger functions, the month-end/year end close processes
• Good knowledge of accounting software like Xero and MS365 products
• Strong mathematical and administration skills
