Study and develop a deep understanding of clients’ accounting needs and portfolio structures
Review and analyze investment transactions, as well as monthly/quarterly fund level accounting packages and quarterly fund level financial statements
Analyze, reorganize, transcribe, map, and verify sourced data by adhering to a predefined set of policies and procedures, as well as the client-specific needs in preparation for platform upload
Data validation, reconciliation, visual data inspection and comparison of fund- and portfolio-level values, returns and transactions
Make recommendations about improvements of policies and procedures
Communicate data issues and data trends with colleagues and managers
Any additional ad-hoc tasks assigned by manager
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
Undergraduate degree in Finance/Information Systems/Accounting/Economics. Honours degree preferred.
Interest in process automation and tool enhancements
Strong interest in Big Data, Financial Markets, Accounting Principles, and Automation
Partnership or investment accounting experience is an advantage
Strong MS Excel skills – Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, Conditional Formulas, Data Reorganization and Customization
Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet reporting deadlines, and demonstrate flexibility with delivery of assignments
Team Player – ability to work well in a team, professional and respectful to colleagues.
