An appropriate three-year career-related tertiary qualification (degree or national diploma) in Financial Management, Local Government: Finance or Public Management or any other study field related to the position
At least six years’ work experience in a related financial support and administration environment
Supervisory experience will be an added advantage
Compliance with the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act 53 of 2003) and experience will be an added advantage
A valid Code B driving licence
Computer literacy
SAP financial knowledge and experience will be an added advantage
Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA will be an added advantage
Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost
Primary functions
Execute effective budget control in accordance with legislation, statutory requirements and Council policies
Execute financial planning and performance reporting
Provide supply chain management support
Execute asset management support functions
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures that govern insurance management and attend all related meetings
Assist with the responsibility for annual report submissions
