To manage the finance function of the AF Life business which includes the group life and retail businesses, covering financial and management reporting, financial control and assisting with strategic, risk and other initiatives.
Ensure the recording and reporting of transactions (valid, accurate and complete) to measure the financial performance as well as reflect the financial position of the company.
To manage the financial management process of the Insurance businesses including timeous and insightful commercial reporting, accurate and timely submission of statutory, tax and other returns. Preparation of budgets and forecasts and monitoring of financial, strategic and operational KPI’s.
To manage the internal control environment, ensuring a robust control environment in order to protect company assets and enable accurate and complete financial reporting.
Act as the primary liaison to the external and internal auditors.
To assist with compliance and risk matters, including maintenance of the company’s risk register, implementation of new regulations and management of compliance audits.
Work closely with the FD in the strategic and operational aspects of the finance and risk departments as well as the business.
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience:
CA(SA) is ESSENTIAL with 5 years post article experience within the Life Insurance.
