    Financial Manager - Northern Suburbs (Cape)

    Description

    • Wassen, part of the Nurture Brands Group, is currently recruiting for a Financial Manager.
    • Wassen is located in the UK, but this position is based at Vital Health Foods in Kuilsriver.
    • Wassen is a leading producer of branded and joint branded supplements and minerals with an established brand portfolio and over 70 years of history.
    • To provide sound financial management through the maintenance of financial and tax compliance, accurate reporting and internal controls to support the achievement of company profitability and liquidity.

    Responsibilities:

    •  Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
    •  Prepare main and divisional income statements
    •  Deliver timely financial reports that provide an accurate picture of the financial position
    •  Prepare final Sales Report
    •  Manage internal control procedures and compliance to accounting standards and legislation
    •  Meet statutory and year-end reporting requirements
    •  Support budget process  and review budgets and forecasts 
    •  Manage the authorization of the capex spend and makes sure all processes are followed
    •  Prepare & review month-end reports for inclusion in the monthly management pack and quarterly Board pack
    •  Manage projects within agreed budgets and allocate resources effectively
    •  Follow and complete weekly and month-end processes
    •  Maintain ledgers and  period-end processes on Syspro
    •  Manage insurance
    •  Ensure that staff are trained, equipped and motivated through effective staff management processes.

    Requirements
    Requirements:

    •  BComm in Accounting or equivalent
    •  Professional Accountant (SAIPA) or CA or CIMA
    •  3-5 years financial management experience with exposure to commercial analysis
    •  3-5 years staff management experience 
    •  Knowledge of Syspro is desired 
    •  Ability to process and interpret financial data
    •  Excellent detail focus & commercial awareness
    •  Excellent planning  and analytical skills
    •  The ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
