As a Finance Manager, you will be a key player in shaping the financial future of our client's organisation. You will lead the annual budgeting process, forecasting cycles, and long-term financial planning. Your role will involve preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other regulatory standards. You will act as a strategic advisor to the executive team, providing data-driven recommendations to enhance operational efficiency. Your ability to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks will be crucial in protecting the company’s financial assets.
Establish and maintain robust financial strategies and procedures
Ensure timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting
Lead efforts in financial planning and forecasting
Safeguard the organisation’s financial assets and ensure compliance with industry standards
Drive continuous improvement in finance operations, technology utilisation, and resource management
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
Act as a strategic advisor to the executive team
Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks
Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity
Manage and coordinate internal and external audit activities
What you bring:
As a Finance Manager for our client's organisation, you bring a wealth of experience in managing finances at a high level. Your strong understanding of finance coupled with your proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and analysis will be invaluable. Your proficiency in using various financial management systems such as SAP or Pastel along with your comprehensive knowledge of IFRS regulations will enable you to excel in this role. Your excellent communication skills will be key in translating complex financial information for stakeholders at all levels.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; Master’s degree or professional certifications preferred
Minimum 7 years of experience in financial management
Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Strong understanding of corporate finance, investment principles, and financial risk management
Proficient in financial management systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Office
Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, South African Income Tax Act, VAT regulations
Strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex financial data
