• The Financial Manager will partner with the business in the provision of financial expertise and advice and develop supporting processes that continuously enhance the delivery of financial services.

Are you someone who can:

Financial Accounting & Compliance

• Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. 
• Liaise with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Provide expert advice on financial controls, risk management, and tax planning. 

Data Analysis & Insights

• Analyze large datasets to extract actionable financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
• Build and maintain financial models to forecast performance and assess business opportunities.

Coding & Automation

• Develop scripts and tools to automate financial processes such as reconciliations, reporting, and compliance checks.
• Design and maintain dashboards and visualization tools for real-time financial monitoring.
• Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure integration and accuracy of financial systems.

Business Partnering

• Work closely with other departments (e.g., IT, operations, credit and pricing) to align financial strategy with business goals.
• Communicate complex financial data and insights to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement process improvements using advanced data and coding skills.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, accounting standards, and industry trends to maintain best practices.

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a technology-driven or data-centric organization.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS
• Certification in data analysis or programming (e.g., Python for Data Science, SQL certification).

Accounting Expertise

• Fully qualified CA(SA) or similar.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, and other bank specific regulatory reporting requirements.
• Proven experience in auditing, tax compliance, financial planning and analysis.

Data & Technical Skills

• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI.
• Strong coding skills in languages such as Python and SQL.
• Experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or simila ERP systems).
• Familiarity with database management and data transformation tools (e.g., ETL processes).
