Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a Financial Manager to join our super-efficient Finance Team. If you’re looking for a role where you’ll work closely with the Commercial Director and have opportunities to liaise and collaborate with senior leadership team members and other colleagues as well as hone your leadership skills then this may be the role for you.
What your role looks like
- Review and analysis of monthly reporting packs and budgets
- Interact with auditors to provide required support for group and subsidiary audits
- Present a consolidated view of Yuppiechef's financial performance (monthly reporting pack)
- Prepare Half and Year-end analyst packs and monthly board reports
- Offer insight into business performance while influencing and supporting business planning, forecasting and budgeting processes of the group
- Provide financial advice by studying operational issues, applying financial principles and practices, and developing recommendations
- Reviews and recommends modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Prepare 5-Year Projections and Forecasting Analysis
- Assisting in the preparation of interim and year-end statutory reporting
- Ensures financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
- Assist in reporting system templates and report changes and finance improvement projects
- Complete monthly and ad hoc information for external/internal stakeholders
- Leadership and ownership of the finance teams
- Ensuring operational delivery of the finance team is maintained and managed
- Variance analysis for GP and operating expenses to understand movements within the month

What experience and skills you need for the role
Experience:
- 3 -5 yrs financial management experience
- Previous financial manager experience in a retail environment advantageous
Qualifications:
- Required: Successfully completed a degree with a Finance or Economics focus
- Advantageous: Registered CA(SA)

Pay and Benefits:
- We pay competitive, market-related salaries based on skills and experience, and profit share based on the company's performance
