Appointment requirements

• Grade 12
• Mathematics and/or Accountancy as Grade 12 subjects will be an advantage
• At least six months’ relevant working experience in a cashier management environment
• Computer literacy
• Competency in SAP will be an added advantage 
• Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own

Primary functions

• Undertake cash collection
• Process transactions on the cashier system and issue receipts
• Cancel incorrect transactions
• Reconcile cash received with system figures, investigate shortages and surpluses, and report irregularities
• Balance and bank the money received at the end of the day
• Conduct general administration
• Ensure that municipal financial regulations are met
• Ensure that the department’s petty cash requirements are met
• Assist with the compilation, updating and distribution of a cash procedures
