A well-established engineering company is seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter & Turner to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, repair, and machining of mechanical and hydraulic components while ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualified Fitter & Turner with a recognised Trade Test and Red Seal certification
Minimum 3–5 years' experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
Proven experience working with hydraulic systems, pumps, cylinders, valves, and related components
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Experience with conventional machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and drilling machines
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Valid driver's licence will be advantageous

Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, install, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems and mechanical equipment
Conduct fault finding and repairs on hydraulic pumps, cylinders, motors, and valves
Perform fitting, turning, machining, and fabrication work as required
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Ensure all work is completed according to quality and safety standards
Conduct preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime
Complete job cards and maintenance documentation accurately
