    Fleet Officer - Centurion

    The duties and responsibilities of the Fleet Officer will include, but not limited to:

    • Ensure that all fleet vehicles, activities, and practices are compliant with all relevant legislation
    • Action any reports / defaults given by drivers.
    • Implement and action ticketing system to deal with vehicle breakdowns or other technical issues. 
    • Ensure all fleet activities adhere to NACOSA policies, procedures, and protocols. 
    • Scheduled maintenance activities, including arranging with preferred suppliers to secure bookings, arrange for vehicle delivery and collection, inspecting the vehicle.
    • Assist with license renewals, re-registration and other documentation required for fleet.
    • Ensure that fleet remains roadworthy by updating trackers to record maintenance and service activities, motor vehicle registrations and permits.
    • Inspects vehicle and equipment for safety, efficiency of operation, and appearance.
    • Ensure cleanliness and good running order of all vehicles in coordination with other fleet staff.
    • Travel to sites regularly to track the wear and tear on fleet vehicles / mobile clinics.
    • Provide weekly / monthly reports and general input as needed to divisional reports.
    • Perform irregular, one time and special request tasks related to the department as a whole. 

    Requirements

    Required qualifications, skills, and experience.

    • Matric certificate or equivalent NQF qualification (Post matric qualification will be advantages)
    • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position. 
    • A thorough working knowledge or automotive vehicles, maintenance/repair scheduling, and regulations 
    • A sound understanding of Health and Safety rules and regulations. 
    • Experience in the Pharmaceutical, Health Care, or related industry would be highly advantageous. 
    • Fair Computer Skills (Microsoft Office Suite) 
    • Experience with fleet management software and tools. 
    • Good command of written and spoken English
    • Valid unendorsed Code C1 driver’s license (non-negotiable)
