    Food & Beverage Supervisor

    QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES 

    Minimum Qualifications 

    • National Diploma in Hospitality 
    • Three (03) to five (05) years’ experience preferably in the Hospitality and Events Industry. 

    KEY PERFORMANCE / MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE 

    • Properly plan for events and functions, by ensuring that event requirements are in place; 
    • Attend to pre event meetings with Clients and Event Coordinators where necessary; 
    • Prepare staffing schedule and attend to event forward planning meetings; 
    • Ensure that beverage requirements for events and or functions meet the required stock level; 
    • Communicate with kitchen staff on all requirements to ensure smooth delivery of food and beverage items at mealtimes; 
    • Allocate Cashiers to individual events and issue cash float as required; 
    • Supervise Food & Beverage Coordinators before, during and after events; 
    • Ensure that requirements on the operations sheet is adhered to; 
    • Conduct inspections to ensure all beverage equipment is cleaned, maintained and returned to storage; 
    • Monitor guest comments and investigate service lapses with the staffing service providers 
    • Ensure that operational documentation and filing system is maintained; 
    • Ensure relevant information is provided in the Event Service reports; 
    • Process equipment, and beverage orders on the ERP system; 
    • Accountable for cash handling, from issuing stage, receiving counting and collecting cash floats prior and after events from Cashiers; 
    • Plan, organize and lead monthly stock takes; 
    • Provide monitoring and maintenance of all boardrooms; meeting rooms; hospitality suites; and premier suites is carried out; 
    • Ensure all internal bookings are monitored and food/beverage requirements delivered according to booking requirements; 
    • Monitor coffee shop activities, cash up and flexi staff rosters are adhered to;
    • Complete beverage recons and share information with service providers; 
    • Calculate time in lieu for all Functions Department; 
    • Perform human capital management functions.
