Foreman: Facility Maintenance at Govan Mbeki Municipality

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent technical qualification
• 3-5 Years’ experience in a similar environment
• One (1) year supervisory experience
• Valid Code B Driver’s License
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work with electrical and manual machinery and tools
• Computer Literate
• The successful applicant / candidate must possess competencies as published in Annexure A of the Local Government: Municipal
• Staff Regulations promulgated in Government Gazette 45181 of 20 September 2021

Key Performance Areas:

• Personnel and Performance Management of subordinates
• Deals with grievances of staff and enforce disciplinary measures
• Plans, co-ordinate and monitor maintenance, development and upgrading of municipal facilities
• Plans, co-ordinate and controls vehicles, machinery and tools
• Attend to requests regarding maintenance issues received from buildings
• Analyse requests regarding maintenance of facilities and make recommendation to Manager for implementation, etc
• Responsible for budget control and application of Supply Chain Management Policy and Procedures
• Ability to execute administrative tasks related to function
