Foreman - Finegold at Rand Refinery

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Accountable for resource planning and execution of departmental performance including managing the metal balance
• Provide timeous and accurate cost recovery, material yields and waste reports.
• Ensure that the materials are safely collected and charged according to recipe charge distributed.
• Implement methods used in conducting various studies.
• Ensure that machines are working properly and safely.
• Plans appropriate employee training and development to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of the department.
• Manage and apply the performance management process.
• Plan relevant employee training and development to ensure efficient running of the department.
• Assists in undertaking cost improvement studies to identify root cause of issues relating to reliability, waste and efficiencies. 
• Comply with and ensure that all health and safety rules are met. Proactively address any safety concerns which may be harmful to employees.
• The incumbent is required to adhere to safety standards, work shifts and lift heavy material.
• Carries out technical or first-level management responsibilities within the department.

Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Completed Matric qualification.
• A degree in Engineering Metallurgy or related qualification.
• Minimum of 5 -7 years working experience with 3 years at a supervisory level.
