Responsibility for all forward logistics functions within Barron (inhouse and outsourced services).
Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations (24 hours / 7 days) and drive for continuous improvement.
Build partnerships and relationships with local key players in the logistics industry.
Create operation plans to address issues and hedge the risks caused by market or policy changes if needed.
Ensure procedures are enforced, and continuously improve the key metrics of service, quality, cost effectiveness and stakeholder satisfaction.
Monitor the day-to-day operations, identifying any gaps, opportunities and/or roadblocks hindering the overall customer experience/customer journey and partner with the respective providers to drive performance improvements.
In partnership with inhouse and external IT service providers, create reporting mechanisms (Dashboards, Daily/Weekly Snapshots, etc.) to highlight the key metrics of service, quality, cost optimisation and stakeholder satisfaction.
Ensure processes, procedures and regulations are clearly documented, in compliance and enforced across the operation.
Address, research and resolve exceptions (current or prospective) in a timely and cost effective.

Requirements:
At least 10-15 years in the freight forwarding industry (domestic and international)
Route planning knowledge
Understanding of the cube and volumetrics
Service Level Management / Contract Management
Excellent communication skills with the ability to secure alignment
Self-motivated and results driven, able to collaborate and ability to influence stakeholders
Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications
