We want you to be very competent in XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and are also stoked in one or more other areas in modern web development, such as HTML5, MVC with PHP, SEO, JSON or Social/Local/Mobile.

Our continuous deployment platform is built with Python. The product you will be working with is the most exciting in the field for those looking to work with professional e-commerce solutions. Magento offers a comprehensive list of functionality out of the box which provides us with the opportunity to focus on developing cutting-edge features and improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, Develop, Test and Document advanced e-commerce solutions for our clients
• Develop customer-specific and generic Magento modules
• Develop integrations between Magento and 3rd Party Products
• Improve our own continuous deployment platform which supports a large number of our clients
• Regularly help with internal projects developing general modules that can be used by a wide range of clients and projects
• Regularly attend internal training courses to maintain the required skillset
• You will be part of a team that builds large and medium-size e-commerce solutions for our customers.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• Disclaimer: Position and title is dependent on the amount of experience
• Ideal candidates are computer science graduates or individuals with experience or familiarity with HTML5, CSS pre-processors (SASS, LESS, etc.), JavaScript, Ubuntu Linux (Server)
• Basic knowledge of PHP and MySQL
• Keen interest and healthy experience in relevant web technologies
• Basic understanding of the fundamentals of API integration and web services
• Strong understanding of OOP principles, and ability to use them in JavaScript
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Mercurial
• Familiarity with server-side web development technologies
• Thorough understanding of cross-browser development and responsive design techniques
