Full Stack Developer at Silica

The Role:

• We are looking for a passionate Full Stack Developer to join our Digital team. Our mission is to make investments accessible and you will be helping by finding new and creative ways of achieving this using technology. Along with creating and maintaining awesome software, you will be part of a diverse team who loves collaborating, knowledge sharing and challenging the status quo.

Skills and Experience;

• Front-end: AngularJS, ASP.NET MVC, React
• Backend: C#, NodesJS, .NET Core
• Databases: MongoDB, Microsoft SQL 2016, Oracle
• Dev Tools:VS Code, Visual Studio 2017, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, SonarQube, MS Team
• Other: Redis, Google Analytics, Grafana, Git 

Requirements:

• Ability to demonstrate the Silica values in an on-going and consistent way 
• Appreciation for software craftsmanship, quality, security, maintainability and performance 
• Attention to detail and personal pride in your work
• BSc degree or higher, in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent 
• Front-end development with a modern JS framework (AngularJS, React), HTML, CSS, Bootstrap
• Youre in your element developing RESTful API's in either C#, .NET Core or NodeJS
• Experience working with MongoDB, Redis Cache and Microsoft SQL 
• Excellent technical and communication skills

• Obsessive automation of the build pipeline with Azure DevOps
• Kubernetes and Docker are not just buzzwords to you - You've implemented these!
• You can draw some really good and easy to understand architecture diagrams,
• Exposure to new backend design trends such as GraphQL, Microservices, Serverless
• Exposure working on one or many major public cloud platform (Azure, AWS, Google)

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop features within our applications, including collaborating on requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and shipping modern APIs and web applications
• Investigate, analysis and make recommendations to the team regarding technology improvements, upgrades and modifications
• Provide first hand analysis and investigation for production environment concerns
• Work directly with our Dev Manager, Product Owners, PM's and the rest if a fun development team
